Susan received the 2004 Woman of
Character Award, presented in September,
2004 at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford. CT.
The award, given by The Hartford Courant
and the Hoffman Auto Group, honors
women who have had the courage and
compassion to change their communities.

Susan was presented with the
2005 "Women Who Make A
Difference Award" from the
Greater Hartford Soroptomists,
a women's service organization,
for her innovative work with
women who have been abuse.

Susan was featured in the 2005 "Women
Who Dare to Make A Difference" Calendar
of the Greater Hartford Section of the
National Council of Jewish Women
(NCJW). Susan was included in the
calendar as a woman who "dares to
do what her convictions demand."
The NCJW is a volunteer organization
that has taken courageous,
progressive stances on issues such as
child welfare, women's rights and
reproductive freedom.
